This past weekend was the
World Quilt Show - Florida VI. I managed to attend on both Thursday and Saturday. Astonishingly, True Colors (aka White Lines) won Second Place. What? Yes, Second Place. Wow, I was amazed. I know how hard I worked on that quilt, and I also know the issues and problems in finally getting it finished. It just goes to show you sometimes things even with their little complications and blemishes still work out okay! For anyone that doesn't know about the problems behind this quilt, you can click
here to the finally finished post, which includes multiple links to the horror stories).
Here are a few of my favorites from the show, hopefully you can read the info cards (if you click on the photo it should enlarge):

Congratulations Karen!!! Lovely quilts at the show.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for a well deserved honor!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Karen! I just love "True Colors." The quilting shows up so well on the black background -- could you please tell me what kind of fabric you used for the background? The stitches really pop -- very nice work.
