Is she finished or not? Still on the fence about adding some crystals. Not too many, I had always intended on putting crystals on this quilt, just enough for a little bling here and there. What do you think - crystals or not? They will be happening today, if they do go on, because this beauty needs to be shipped out tomorrow!
This photo is from this morning, outside, in optimal sunlight. I don't know if any more of the white lines are visible -- I'm no longer using a flash to check.
So again I ask you -- bling or no bling? I'm leaning toward minimal bling with some beautiful black diamonds... I guess you'll have to wait and see. Don't forget, this quilt debuts in a special longarm quilted exhibit at IQA's newest show - Quilt! Knit! Stitch! in Portland, OR - click here for the show details.
Perhaps in the middle of each small circle?
ReplyDeleteNo bling it is beautiful as it is and pops really well
ReplyDeleteI don't know...it looks pretty amazing as it is! :)
ReplyDeleteA few would give it the extra bling that you are looking for. Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous as is, but I do believe a bit of bling would be fun! Go for it!
ReplyDeleteI am so inspired by your quilting on this. Bling in the eight sections of grided cross hatch (little squares) would look great.
ReplyDeleteNo... it can stand on its own. It's beautiful. ...
ReplyDeleteGo for it, it will give it a little more. I agree about the cross hatch
ReplyDeleteIt's stunning just the way it is. Black diamonds, however, might be just gorgeous on it. I agree with 'minimal' -- not a fan of over-blinged quilts. A highlight here and there might be cool. I'm excited that I may get to see this in person, since I'm only an hour and a half south of Portland!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous already!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! If you feel it calling for it, go for it. It is just beautiful
ReplyDeletei hope to go to portland...hope to see this lovely in person. no flash!!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful as is, but a bit of bling would be nice too.
ReplyDeletecrystals are popular.. but I prefer without.
ReplyDeleteyou did an amazing job on the lines. in this photo is almost looks like it might be a border with a different dye lot on that black. But it looks great. not to worry.
I think crystals would really set off the black, though. Like stars at night.
ReplyDeleteYay! Bling! Bling! Bling!
ReplyDeleteI actually like the bluer black on the outside. Looks intentional, as well as amazing.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am a purest. This quilt does not need the bling. Add bling to the ribbon you are going to be pinning on it.
